Success and expertise take more than hard work for 10k hours.

I’ve been sitting on these videos for months thinking I would write a deep piece considering the reality, or lack thereof, of meritocracy especially in a capitalistic context. Many other outlets, though, have already explored this at length, including these videos.

We all know equality of opportunity doesn’t exist and equality of outcome even less so. Certainly not with the way our society is structured presently. So rather than reinvent or rewrite any portion of this conversation, I’ll let these videos from Veritasium stand on their own.
